My name is Kaitlyn Mele and I am a New Jersey and Delaware certified teacher for grades K-8, and Middle School Social Studies.
I attended the University of Delaware and graduated in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Teacher Education, and a second degree in Middle School Social Studies.
During my teaching experience at the University of Delaware, I worked with grades first, second, and sixth. My two practicums were with a first grade class at Marbrook Elementary school and a sixth grade Social Studies class at Henry B. du Pont Middle School. I student taught second grade at Richardson Park Elementary School, and sixth grade Social Studies at Henry B. du Pont Middle School. The students I worked with in these schools consisted of a variety of ethnic and socio-economic statuses, as well as varying learning abilities.
After graduating college I was a long term substitute for a Kindergarten teacher at Highlands Elementary School.
